Our Programs
Nurse Assistant Training Program
Nurse Assistants (NAs) are a vital part of the inpatient care team. Working directly with nurses, doctors and other medical professionals, NAs promote and provide compassionate patient care through a variety of activities including taking vitals, assisting with activities-of-daily-living, ambulating and positioning patients, and ensuring that medical carts are stocked and supplied.
Ophthalmic Assistant Training Program
An Ophthalmic Assistant (OA) works alongside Eye Doctors, Ophthalmologists or Optometrists, to provide patient care. OAs ensure providers have accurate and complete information which helps them diagnose and treat patients. Successful OAs are detail oriented, have strong communication skills and are committed to providing exceptional patient care.
Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship Program
Pharmacy Technicians (PTs) work collaboratively with Pharmacists, Nurses, Doctors, and Insurers to support a positive patient experience. PTs work in different areas across Dartmouth-Hitchcock including the Outpatient (retail), Inpatient (hospital) and Specialty pharmacies.
Surgical Technologist Program
Certified Surgical Technologists (CSTs) are experts in hundreds of instruments, devices, tools, procedures and pathologies. They are responsible for protecting the sterile field in the operating room, assisting surgeons and the clinical team in the care of a patient during surgery, troubleshooting equipment, and anticipating needs during a procedure.
High School and Undergraduate Internship Programs
Paid summer internship opportunities are available for high school and undergraduate students who are interested in exploring healthcare careers in clinical, administrative, research, and operational tracks. Interns gain valuable work experience while putting their academic studies into practice.
