Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program Overview:
Do you enjoy helping people, learning, and working with a team? Would you like to make a difference every day? Dartmouth-Hitchcock (D-H) is seeking caring individuals who are passionate about patients and committed to acquiring the knowledge and skills required to be a Medical Assistant.
Up to 20 individuals will be selected and hired by Dartmouth-Hitchcock to become Medical Assistants in our Lebanon, NH clinics. During the initial 11-week training period, participants will earn college credits and an hourly training wage. At the end of the 11-weeks apprentices will sit for the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) exam and transition to a full-time role in one of our primary care or specialty clinics.
This full time hands-on training program includes both classroom and clinical training. Classes offered during the program include Anatomy & Physiology, Medical Terminology, Pathophysiology, Pharmacology, Introduction to Healthcare, Healthcare Documentation, Healthcare Professional Communications, Healthcare Customer Service Skills, Medical Assistant Standards & Practices, and Clinical Medical Assisting Lab.
Interested individuals are welcome to join us for an information session on Monday, August 20th at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, Auditorium A from 6:00-7:30pm.
