Supporting our current and future healthcare workforce
Employer and Education Grant Partners
The goal of this grant program is to address healthcare workforce shortages by creating sustainable employment and training programs in healthcare occupations serving rural populations across the state of NH and connected VT region.
Three distinct goals of this grant are:
- 1
Address critical workforce shortages by focusing on recruitment
- 2Leverage existing strong workforce development infrastructure across the state through co-enrollment for tangible and OJT supports, as well as the strong existing apprenticeship and training infrastructure in our region
- 3Support the current healthcare workforce through growth opportunities and a focus on retention

Employer Partners:
By becoming an employer partner, you and your employees become eligible for grant resources:
- Scholarship
- Career coaching and counseling
- Training related expense
- Virtual ESOL Training
- Frontline supervisor training
- Recruitment and retention projects
Education Partners:
Education partners can receive grant resources including:
- scholarship program sub-awards
- your students can receive out of pocket training related expense support

About the Rural Health Careers Grant
The Rural Health Careers Program is funded 66.5% through an H1-B $2,500,000 grant and 33.5% by a $1,267,392 WORC grant from the US Department of Labor Employment and Training Administration.
