Spotlight on Current Apprentice:
Meet Chelsea Wootton:
Chelsea is a current Pharmacy Technician Apprentice working in the Outpatient Pharmacy at D-H.
“When I began the PT program in 2017 I was working full time as a baker. I had no medical background and while I loved baking I was looking for something more. I wanted a job that would require me to think and be challenged every day. I certainly have that in the outpatient pharmacy! This apprenticeship has helped me become more professional, changed the way I communicate and the way I present myself. It has changed my future in such a positive way.On the last day of the classroom training I was asked If I was nervous about starting work and I shared that I wasn’t nervous at all because all of the job shadowing we did gave me the confidence to start. The on the job training was incredibly beneficial and the shadowing made me feel like I was already part of the team.”
